The SPC Dan G. Dolan Memorial Ridealso known as Dan’s Ride, is an annual event to honor and remember the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who have given their lives, as well as those who have been wounded, in service to this great nation. This ride is to honor their heroism and their sacrifice. The proceeds from Dan’s Ride each year goes to Helping Out Our American Heroes, our 501(c)3 non-profit organization (HOOAH),dedicated to military veterans and their families.
Dan’s Ride has raised over $53,000 in the past 6 years. That comes out to an average of over $8,833 for each of the one day events.
SPC Daniel G. Dolan, 19, died August 27, 2006 during combat operations in Baghdad, Iraq, when his M1126 Stryker Vehicle came in contact with enemy forces using an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Washington. Dan grew up in Roy, Utah.
